QuadX, an expanding e-commerce logistics provider in the Philippines, has tapped Zebra Technologies Corp to boost efficiency and productivity.

Harnessing the on-demand economy, QuadX provides a range of logistics solutions and services to meet the needs of the booming online retail industry in the Philippines.

The home-grown company started out with a highly labor-intensive, pen-and-paper system that often resulted in data inaccuracies, inefficient workflows, and cost control issues, hampering its business expansion.

To address these challenges, QuadX consulted with D Squared—a Zebra PartnerConnect member—which worked with Zebra to propose a cost-effective mobility solution that combines hardware and a cloud-based fleet management platform for a more efficient way to run the business.

US-based Zebra builds enterprise-level data capture and automatic identification solutions that provide businesses with operational visibility.

“By listening to our customer’s requirements, we could innovate and offer a unique solution that addresses QuadX’s specific business challenges,” Zebra Technologies country lead-Philippines Tracy Yeo said in a statement.

“With Zebra’s MC36 mobile computer empowering the workers at the front line, and the Operational Visibility Service (OVS) platform providing enhanced operational visibility, Zebra has given QuadX the performance edge to achieve faster growth,” Yeo added.

Zebra’s Android-powered MC36 mobile computer offers enterprise-grade ruggedness and features that make it suitable for the rigors of field mobility. Zebra said MC36’s familiar operating system helps QuadX save time and resources on training frontline workers to use the devices. The hardware is complemented by Zebra’s OVS, which gives QuadX real-time operational visibility into key data. QuadX is now able to supervise pickups and deliveries directly from the hub, offering actionable insights to make smarter business decisions in real time.

“Zebra’s solution has helped us switch to a cloud-based system that has enhanced productivity and business workflows,” QuadX chief operating officer Achilles Reyes said.

“With the MC36 running on Android and its intuitive interface, our new riders start using the device just a few hours after training. Through the OVS, we gain transparency to the transaction status based on real-time updates. The best part is that our business has seen exponential growth since the deployment. We look forward to continuously growing our business with Zebra and D Squared,” Reyes noted.

Launched in 2015, QuadX specializes in cross-border digital logistics and e-commerce payment processing. It is behind the following digital platforms: ShippingCart (cross-border shipping service for products from the US to the Philippines, and soon in Malaysia and the UK), CheckMeOut (all-in-one payment and delivery tool for e-commerce businesses), XPost (express pickup and delivery service), and XPay and PayLink (upcoming e-payment solutions).

LBC Express Holdings, Inc. last March approved the subscription to 1.860 million shares of stock of QuadX.
