THE Philippine International Seafreight Forwarders Association (PISFA) has elected its officers and board members for 2013-2015, with Maria Emperatriz Regis, vice president and chairman of Airspeed International Corp., chosen association president.

Regis replaced Irene Manguiat-Tan, who is now the association’s chairman. The latter is president and chief executive officer of Transmodal International, Inc.

Juan Carlos Aquias of Vanguard Logistics Services Phils., Inc. will serve as executive vice president.

Barbie Rivadeneira, president of Pacific Concord Container Lines Inc., was elected vice president for internal affairs while Move It Multimodal Transport and Logistics Inc. president Erich Lingad retained his position as vice president for external affairs.

Eduardo de Guzman Jr, vice president and chief operating officer of Sky Freight Forwarders, Inc., is the new corporate secretary; Cheng Geniza, president of Freight Connection Phils., Inc., treasurer; and Fernando Perez, general manager for ocean freight of Yusen Logistics Phils., Inc., auditor.

Vivian Vocales of Asian Consolidation International Services; Doris Torres, general manager of Stamm International; Engelbert Guzman of RB Solutions, Inc; and Renato Ayson of JCM Cargo Network Corp. will serve as directors.

The officers were also designated to head various committees. Regis is chairperson for ways and means; Guzman for sports and fellowship; Perez for ethics and standards; Lingad, together with Manguiat-Tan, for government and shipping line affairs/tariff; Rivadeneira for membership; Torres for training and education; Geniza for finance; Vocales for insurance; Ayson for social responsibility; and Aquias for information technology.
